About Companis

Accompaniment
for leaders
and organisations.

Companis exists because nobody should do leadership alone. We work alongside leaders and organisations as they learn, develop, and navigate change.

Our approach.
Alongside you over time.

Companis brings together leadership learning, coaching, and organisational consulting through accompaniment.

That means understanding your context, exploring what matters, and developing practical responses together. Reflection and action stay connected to the realities of your work.

The meaning behind our name

Companis.
In good company.

The name Companis draws on the roots of companion: the Latin com, meaning “with” or “together,” and panis, meaning “bread.” At its heart is the idea of sharing bread with another person.

For us, that image captures the spirit of accompaniment: making time, sharing perspectives, and working alongside one another. It is a relationship built through conversation, trust, and a shared commitment to moving forward.

What guides our work

Close to people.
Connected to practice.

Leadership develops through everyday conversations, decisions, and relationships. We create space to make sense of those experiences, consider different perspectives, and put learning into action.

People and context first.

Every organisation has its own history, pressures, and possibilities. We begin by listening, understanding what matters to your people, and shaping our work around your purpose.

Reflection with action.

Insight becomes useful when people can do something with it. We connect thoughtful reflection with practical steps, then return to explore what happened and what to try next.

Room for different voices.

People bring different experiences and perspectives to work. We encourage curiosity, question assumptions, and make space for conversations that help people understand one another.

Working with Companis

Start with what matters.
Shape the work together.

You may have a clear brief, or a challenge you are still trying to understand. Our first conversation explores where you are, what you want to strengthen, and the support that could help.

Together, we agree an approach that fits your organisation. This might involve coaching for particular leaders, learning with a group, facilitated conversations, or consulting around change and communication.

Throughout the work, we keep returning to your context: what people are learning, what is changing in practice, and where support is needed next.

She works alongside organisations to explore challenges, involve different voices, and develop practical ways forward. This includes leadership development and succession, navigating change, and strategic communications and storytelling that connect people with organisational purpose.

Today, Lianne combines this practical experience with her work as a Lecturer in Management, leadership educator, and doctoral researcher exploring leadership identity and practice.
